How do I change the key or scale?
Tap the Key or Scale buttons in the control panel at the bottom of the screen. A full list picker will open. Select your choice and the fretboard updates instantly.
What are positions?
Positions filter the fretboard to a specific positional pattern within a fret window. Select "All" to see the full scale across the neck, or choose a numbered position (1–5) to focus on one area at a time.
How do I see note names instead of intervals?
Tap the Intervals / Notes button on the left side of the control panel to cycle between interval numbers, note names, and plain dots.
Can I mute individual strings?
Yes. Tap any string peg in the tuning column on the left edge of the fretboard to toggle that string on or off.
How do I learn about a scale's chords and theory?
Tap the Now Playing bar (the pill showing your current key and scale). This opens a panel with a description of the scale, common chord progressions, and a scale degree table, all transposed to your selected key.
The app isn't behaving as expected. What should I do?
Try force-quitting and reopening the app. If the issue persists, send us a note at the email below describing what happened and we'll look into it.
